About Fort Sask Reno Inc.
We are a leading residential renovation company in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, that has been meeting the interior and exterior renovation needs of clients since 2007.
Initially, we started out as a sole proprietorship under the name of ‘Beaulieu Enterprises.’ We were then incorporated as Fort Sask Reno Inc. on Canada’s 150th birthday of July 1, 2017.
Presently, we have a team of seven employees and operate from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We are currently a mobile business based out of a home office. We do not have any hard no-go areas as we are open to opportunities; however, in general, we travel approximately up to a one-hour radius of Fort Saskatchewan, including the greater Edmonton area.
We have a dump truck, dump trailer, two cargo trailers, a full complement of interior and exterior finishing tools and equipment, as well as an eavestrough machine, so clients can count on us to service all their interior and exterior renovation needs.
For exterior renovations, we have multiple peaks throughout the year:
- When we get heavy rains, the phone rings off the hook for eavestroughs.
- In the spring, with the first warm days with melting snow and ice, there is also a peak demand for eavestroughs.
Once we have warmer days where people can go outside in May, generally, there are increased phone calls for exterior renovation. The impending onset of winter also brings a rush of calls as people want work done “before snow flies,” even though we do exterior renovations year-round. Interior renovations are popular in fall and winter as people want to make their interiors cozy during the long winter months.
As a business, we are very much in a stage of growth. We are in the process of hiring our own specialists to offer most trades in-house and are moving away from reliance on subcontractors.
The Fort Sask Reno Inc. Difference
Our primary strength is our communication skills – we listen to our customers’ needs and help them achieve their goals by offering them a variety of options at the best quality. We believe our customers’ needs and goals are as varied as the homes we work on. Each has their unique sets of budgets and goals that we must determine and find options to make their dreams a reality.
What makes us most proud is our ability to determine the “voice of the customer” and offer services based on their specific needs. We have no problem telling a customer that to achieve their goals, they do not need to undertake or spend as much as they think if that is the appropriate course of action. We are not into up-selling. After asking for and understanding our customers’ goals, we advise them as we would advise a family member. That honesty and helpfulness rewards us with many referrals and repeat business.
We also stand behind all our work. We have a five-year minimum warranty on labor, but we tell our customers whether it’s five years, a day, or twenty years later, if there are ever any issues, please call us first. If there are any workmanship issues, we will take care of our customers and make it right. We have been in business in Fort Saskatchewan since 2007 and have named our business after our city. We are not leaving town any time soon. Good news travels fast and bad news travels faster; therefore, we must be solid contractors, or we will quickly be out of business. Our customer nominated multiple Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Based Business award wins (2013 and 2020) indicate we are the real deal.
When we started business in 2007, it was right at the beginning of a national economic collapse. At the time, we had no business contacts or clientele. Despite this, we not only survived where many others failed but also thrived. Almost fourteen years later, we have multiple business awards and have thus far thrived in the challenging times of a global pandemic and are continuing to grow. This is all done by a family business, so it doesn’t get much better than that!
In the future, we plan to continue with the measured growth of the business. We will one day, in the not-so-distant future, be purchasing real-estate as a means of growth. It would be amazing to open a storefront showroom with a warehouse/shop area, and we believe we can get there.
While we are really passionate about what we do, we also care about protecting the environment, and so we recycle all scrap metal and cardboard from demolition on renovations. We also offer large energy efficiency upgrades in the insulation and window jobs we do. Often when renovating older homes, we install up to two-inch of rigid insulation on the exterior that nearly doubles the energy efficiency of those walls.
We also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, we regularly contribute to many local initiatives, from relief fund campaigns to local contractors that have been severely injured on the job, including the Stollery Children’s Hospital, the local Library, and the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital Foundation. Additionally, we support the Fort Saskatchewan Food gatherers Society with monthly donations to the food bank.
