EAVESTROUGH, SOFFIT & FACIA
Life in Alberta generally means we are either going into, coming out of or in the middle of another frigid winter. Ice and snow creates havoc with eavestroughs, soffit and facia. You may notice nails pulling out, trough falling off, or leaks. Faulty eavestroughs can result in water pooling at the foundation of your house or water in your basement during heavy rain. Water may also get behind your trough which can rot facia boards and rafter tails. It may allow water to enter the walls of your home. Modern eavestroughs are held on with screws, not nails, so they hold tight and will not work free. Our eavestroughs are 5” wide — not the old 4”. Simply put: They can handle more water.
All of our soffit facia and eavestrough is made from aluminum so it will not rust and has a baked on enamel finish so it will never need repainting. Available in all colours.
We specialize in exterior renovation and have the skills to transform a dated looking house into a fresh new home. Many people, including home owners, can install vinyl siding, but not everyone has the skills and experience to make the home look “as new.” It’s all in the finer details.
Your great new curb appeal is going to translate into a higher property value and therefore list price for your home. Whether you may be considering on selling soon — or sometime in the future — the investment in a new exterior is one of the single most significant ways to increase your home’s curb appeal and value.
Vinyl siding is the least expensive in terms of labour, material and maintenance. When your vinyl siding is applied over energy-efficient insulation, your home heating and cooling expense will be significantly reduced.
Not only will the impact on your pocket book be reduced by having an new insulated, air-sealed, vinyl siding exterior but so will your impact on the environment. Vinyl siding is environmentally friendly compared to other forms of siding because it has a long service life, requires minimal ongoing maintenance, is chemically stable after it has been installed and is the least energy consuming to transport.
Go Green and save $$$ on your heating bills while giving your home a great curb appeal. If you are considering a facelift this year for your home you should also consider upgrading its energy efficiency. We specialize in exterior renovations and often install rigid foil faced foam insulation under the siding. Most homes are insulated with fiberglass insulation which has an R-Value of 12 for a home with 2×4 walls, and R-20 for a newer home with 2×6 walls.
Adding up to 2″ of foil faced foam insulation to your home increases the R-value by 12. Your older home now surpasses new home R-values. You will definitely notice the difference winter and summer, in comfort and cost.
